Corporate / Commercial – COCO22

The role includes:

  • Advising on a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, including: (i) transactional work, (ii) M&A, (iii) corporate advisory, (iv) private equity, (v) re-organisations, (vi) player transfer funding/finance/discounting transactions, (vii) club ownership related issues, (viii) general company secretarial matters, (ix) football transactional documentation, (x) commercial rights agreements (including sponsorship, licensing, broadcast and other content exploitation), and (xi) general commercial contracts and advice (including supply arrangements, terms and conditions, agency, distribution etc).
  • Working closely with the Partners in the delivery of a bespoke corporate service offering to existing and new clients in the Sports and Media sector;
  • Exposure to the firm’s existing stellar client base to service their corporate needs and drive new work opportunities; and
  • The opportunity to undertake a wide range of business development initiatives working with colleagues in the firm’s other practice areas.

Candidate Requirements:

  • NQ to 7 years PQE (although we will consider outstanding candidates outside this range);
  • Legally qualified to practise as a solicitor in England & Wales;
  • Experience of advising on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters detailed above (noting that some candidates will have more experience in some areas than others); and
  • Experience advising on sports and media related matters is desirable, but not necessary; and.
